New Place
My dear friends are off to a new adventure in a new city...when they get there, an empty apartment awaits, but before all the decorating and furniture shopping I foresee a couple dinners of late-night pizza on tables made of unpacked cardboard boxes and no chairs. Good luck Laura and Simon..I wish you guys all the best! (And when I come for a visit, I hope that empty floor will be furnished with a comfy couch..wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

Bygone Bounce
Bygone Bounce from Shen Ramu on Vimeo.
My best friend is moving to a new city to start a new chapter of her life...this is yet another part of growing up and a stage we all must go through. However, I hope that despite the new responsibilities, complications, and practicality of "adult-hood" we all will experience, that a bit of childhood is always kept at heart (and manages to surface every now and then!)
This weekend we will celebrate her last couple days here for a while, so for now, I leave you with a short film I made...in which I've tried to capture moments of childhood - the "ups" and the "downs" - and hope that we never lose that carefree, fun, child-like state of mind.
Have a great weekend everyone :)

Cali some more - Day Four
Some days we’d dine out, but eat in on some nights,
We bought candy and cookies and all sorts of delights.
Sandwiches with baguette, and salami and cheese,
Were delicious and easy, and cut back on our fees.
But at the deli counter, when I ordered in grams,
The guy there looked stumped, he asked “pardon ma’am?”
Oh yeah! they’re not metric..so how else do I order
This cold cut salami here below the border?...
…(The sandwiches were made, turned out very nice,
Instead I just figured, I’ll order by slice!)
Then at the motel, in true picnic style,
We ate and drank beer and hung out for a while.

Cali View - Day Two
Drove by the studios, went to the zoo,
Griffith park was cool, from the Observatory's view.
Toured Pasadena, our lunch was divine,
And I'll never forget that big Hollywood sign.
