Destination Moon

Got sidetracked from film work stuff, it really is hard to stay focused on the same project ALL year! so as i was listening to what randomly pops up on my iTunes, the song Destination Moon (this cover by Diana Panton of an old classic) came up and i quickly doodled what i hope will be a character i can animate to this song...sometime..in the near future..

The Pink House

Layout design and general colour idea for my 4th year film. This is just my 2D mock-up version..the entire background will be done in 3D, with a sort of stage-set-cut-out-feel to it. Updates to come as work gets completed...in due time..

Early 3D version, without proper lighting/shadows, so it's a little strange looking, but the cutout overlapping effect is what i was testing in this one.

Recently watched both Chicago and Burlesque..jazzy music, sweet costumes..this was the doodling outcome.


*Update: since i needed to do some warm-up drawing before animating, i decided to re-visit this sketch..i definitely did not push the poses enough, so here's another attempt, a WIP - also cartoonized the gals a little bit more..might even take one more stab at it later on, after all, a pose can never be pushed enough..in my opinion.
